You know your child is struggling. You’re just not sure how to help.
I’m Aleya, and I work with kids ages 6–18 that seem to be having a harder time with everyday life—whether that shows up as anxiety, big reactions, shutting down, trouble focusing, avoidance, or simply feeling overwhelmed more often than they’d like.
I help kids figure out why certain things feel so hard, understand themselves a little better, and find ways to handle those moments that actually work for them.
I also work closely with parents, because sometimes knowing what’s behind a behavior makes it easier to know what to do with it. Together, we’ll figure out what may be getting in the way and how to support their growth without losing sight of boundaries, accountability, or the needs of the rest of the family.
At Growing Pains, the goal is not perfection. It’s helping kids feel more capable when life is hard—and helping parents feel more sure of how to support them through it.
